Connect to GNS3 Appliances via VNC on MAC

The GNS3 will using VNC to connection to the appliances's graphical interface (virtual VGA).

But on MAC, the default VNC client may got problem when connection.

We can using RealVNC viewer to connect to VNC on MAC.

1. Install RealVNC viewer for MAC

https://www.realvnc.com/en/connect/download/viewer/macos/

2. Editor the GNS3 VNC Setting

GNS3->Preferences

Click VNC tab and click "Edit"

Select "Custom" and fill will following command:

"/Applications/VNC Viewer.app/Contents/MacOS/vncviewer" -Quality Medium %h:%p

  • You may need give the accese in MAC

3. Connect to a appliance

Double click on a running appliance in GNS3.

The RealVNC Viewer will be launch.
